15 Seconds to Impress

E-mail Print PDF

15 - 30 SECONDS!?!?!

Yes.  Your Resume has between 15 and 30 SECONDS to impress the reader.megaphone

That’s what Human Resources Recruiters are saying.  Companies are receiving hundreds of resumes/applications for each open position.  And, that means that your resume has 30 seconds at most to convince a recruiter that you warrant a screening interview/phone call.

What does that mean for your Resume?

That means that you have got to make sure your resume presents its most important points in the first few lines of the first page.  You need to make sure someone can look at your resume and know what you are qualified to do in a moment.

It should also get across what makes you different from the hundreds of other candidates for the position.

Keep in mind that your resume is marketing material and YOU are the product it is meant to sell.

Find out how to make the most of your resume.
